
Virtual Training of Trainers: Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training

Price: $1,300
This intensive, 5-day training of trainers prepares practitioners to deliver the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) independently. Participation involves 18 hours of interactive, online learning, including a review of all training content, 10 group-learning activities, and opportunities to practice training portions of the curriculum. Participants will also receive access to the latest 2018 SAPST and training-of-trainer materials.
Audience: Eligible participants must have participated in a previous SAPST.
Training length: 18 hours over 5 days
Certification: Participants will receive a certificate of participation for 18 hours.

Erin Ficker, M.A.
Erin has worked and trained in the substance use prevention field for 15 years. As a master SAPST trainer, she assisted in the development of the virtual SAPST TOT and has prepared more than 150 practitioners across the Midwest to deliver the SAPST independently. She is a senior certified prevention specialist who lives and works in Chicago.
Albert Gay, M.S.
Albert is a master trainer and certified prevention professional with the Indiana Association of Prevention Professionals. He has trained the SAPST in its multiple versions, including Native American and Air Force adaptations, since 2005, and was instrumental in piloting the current 2018 curriculum in California.
