Virtual Training of Trainers: Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training
June 10-14, 2019
11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. EST (plus 2 afternoons)
This intensive, 5-day training of trainers prepares practitioners to deliver the SAPST independently. Participation includes 16.5 hours of interactive, online learning, including a review of all training content, 10 group-learning activities, and opportunities to practice training portions of the curriculum. Participants will also receive access to the latest 2018 SAPST and training-of-trainer materials.
Audience: Eligible participants must have participated in a previous SAPST.
Training length: 16.5 hours
Certification: Participants will receive a certificate of participation for 16.5 hours.
Sandra Del Sesto, MEd, CPSS
Sandra has worked in the field of substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion for more than 35 years. She is a co-author of the Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies’ SAPST and Prevention in Ethics courses.
Carol Oliver, MAT, CPS
Carol is an expert in the implementation of SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework, the current director of Prevention Solutions@EDC, and a SAPST co-author.
Jessica Goldberg, MSW, MPH, CPS
Jess is a technical assistance provider and trainer for Prevention Solutions@EDC with over 10 years’ experience leading and supporting public health promotion and prevention efforts.
